You're moving? How far? Are you...at least staying in town?

Not too far. Just a fifteen minute drive from our old house, but that is still some distance in this city I suppose. Different school district for Theta at least. And yeah, I'm staying in town.

And even if I wasn't, we'd be penpals, TC. I promise.

Good. I'd hate to lose my best friend. You have a house picked out and everything? Will you need help moving?

Good to know someone would miss me if I was gone.

We do have the house picked out, Omega is working on the loan and the initial offer, which we've been assured will be accepted after some negotiation, and...

I don't know if he'll trust you enough to let you help. And you can't help moving without having to be seriously bogged down with little children, which I know you don't want. So don't worry, there won't be beer based bribing. I think that's traditional. Not sure though.

Well, if you need help, call me. And if you don't need help, come over afterwards and we can drink until I tell you why I don't want little kids hanging off of me. I wish you good luck and no roaches.

You just dislike children in general and or do not want to be around them. This is an understandable and widely held stance in the world.

Actually, no. I don't hate small people. In fact, I would volunteer to guard them when we got wind of a raid.

I don't understand people who dislike kids just because they're kids.

They're not small people, they're children.

Children are small people. People who haven't learned a lot of things, but they're still people. They deserve the same basic respect as anyone else. Even if they do like terrible movies.

People can make responsible decisions. My siblings cannot yet. They are too young.

Well, that's something that needs to be taught. But I'm sure you know someone who makes poor life choices. And I bet nobody swoops in, makes the decisions for them, doesn't tell them what's going on, surprises them with a major life change, and then gets mad when the reaction is anything but rainbows and butterflies.

You may be moving your siblings, and maybe they don't get a say and that's fair, but I've seen people pull up to a house, inform a small child she lives here now, and then get mad because she cried.

Can't. I have kids to watch out for. We've got this whole new year's thing I can't duck out of. And then there is the fact that I don't have my license yet. Sorta... lost the will to practice.
