He's not my type. He has kids. In the same house. But he just dumped his boyfriend, his brothers don't realize he exists, and he just got his nose broken. Somehow this is not the low point in his life. He has my interest.

Yeah. He's a disappointing little person. He deliberately broke the heart of this frequent client of mine who is a very good person and deserves more kindness.

I heard a different side to the story. I heard your client endangered children.

Oh hardly. The man loves those children and would give his life to protect him, and they love him back. Delta just breaks things when he doesn't get his way. He doesn't like the guy's job and wanted him to change, and the guy wasn't ready.

If his job put those children in danger, I don't see how breaking up with him is a bad thing.

His job doesn't put children in danger. It would destroy anyone who sought to harm those children, of course. But Delta is the sort of man who would say that a police officer put those children in danger.

In Vos, they kill police officers and aren't always picky about the collateral damage. It seems reasonable to me.

I assume that Delta knows better than anyone what's necessary to keep his kids safe.

As the guy who is also dating one of his siblings, I'm not sure he does.

Omega? No.

From what I hear, he's neither the nicest nor the smartest.

Oh dear me. No that isn't true at all. Omega is training to be a medic. He's quite intelligent. Just in a different way from Delta. And he's a very pleasant young man.

Perhaps it's merely his family he treats as dirt.

Do you know a member of his family other than Delta? And have you no experience with siblings? Tension can exier.

I have brothers. I can read between the lines.

Siblings have tensions that don't really connect to how people normally interact.

I'm saying the guy is messed up in the head and you deserve better than that as a friend.
